1 Dead, 1 Arrested In Overnight NW OKC Apartment Shooting

1 Dead, 1 Arrested In Overnight NW OKC Apartment Shooting

One man is dead following a late-night shooting at the Arbor Glen Apartments in Oklahoma City, Sunday.

According to police, when officers arrived on scene near Northwest 19th Street and North Meridian Avenue they didn't find a victim but they did find more than one witness.

Those witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots and just an hour later staff at the Saint Anthony Hospital confirmed they received a patient with gunshot wounds who later died.

Investigators responded to initial 911 calls about shots fired just before midnight.

Several witnesses reported seeing the victim get shot more than once.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Matt Bowens.

According to Investigators a woman, identified as 29-year-old Erika Schwengels drove Bowens to the hospital right after the shooting. Schwengels was questioned by police and and arrested on a complaint of felony murder, according to officials.

Police said Bowens and Schwengels were engaged in illegal activity at the time of the shooting.
