Body camera and drone video show Owasso Police arresting two men in three days, accused of trying to meet who they thought was a child, for sex.

Owasso Police say both men were messaging an undercover investigator, and one of them drove to Owasso from Oklahoma City to meet.

Police used their drone to track one of the suspect's cars to the planned meeting spot, then officers arrested him.

Police say both men showed up with meth and one said he was actually trying teach the child a lesson about the dangers of meeting up with strangers.

Jose Baltazar Arrest:

Owasso Police arrested Jose Baltazar on Sunday night after they say Baltazar had been messaging who he thought was a child for weeks. Police say Baltazar came to Owasso from Oklahoma City.

"These particular investigators, they use the online personas of children. In this case that's what this guy was after was a child to make contact with and so when he started engaging in illicit conversations, sending nude pictures and stuff, we had him at that point," said Lieutenant Nick Boatman with Owasso Police.

Alexander Goins Arrest:

Three days later, body camera and drone video shows Owasso Police arresting Alexander Goins after they say Goins tried to meet with who he thought was a child for sex. Police say Goins had been messaging an undercover officer, who was posing as a child, for a couple days.

"He immediately made the conversation of let's go meet, let's go meet for these specific explicit things," said Boatman.

Owasso Police used their drone to track Goins' car to the meeting spot and when he parked, officers swarmed in on him.

DRONE VIDEO:

"We knew exactly what he was driving and before the officers left the staging area, we knew exactly where he was parking, which direction he was facing. We could even tell how many people were in the car," said Boatman.

Police say Goins immediately started saying he was only there to tell the girl it was dangerous to meet up with strangers.

BODYCAM VIDEOS:

"He was uttering statements about how he was just there to warn the child. Didn't want anything to happen to her. We already had him dead to rights on exactly what he was going to do to the child. It was all written down in the apps he was using," said Boatman.

A Warning for Parents:

Owasso Police want this to be a reminder to parents to pay attention to who your kids are talking to online. Police say they if they had the manpower, they could likely catch a child predator every single day.

"We can't send pictures back, we can't tell people where we are going to meet, we have to wait on the online predator to do all of these things, so you might be talking to an online predator for weeks or months before they finally get up the courage to ask something explicit, send a picture, or finally make the determination to ask the child to meet somewhere. In this case that's what happened," said Boatman.

Both Baltazar and Goins are in the Rogers County jail facing several charges.
