Thunder Coach Mark Daigneault on how the team handled regrouping after Game 3:
“They were great today. They always are. We do a great job of not overreacting to the emotion of the outcome. We want to learn from it but keep good spirits.”
Daigneault on whether Game 3 was an anomaly:
“No, I wouldn’t say that. Every game is different. Minnesota outplayed us thoroughly and deserved to win. We need to learn from it and move into Game 4.”

Anthony Edwards erupted for 30 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in just three quarters, leading the Timberwolves to a dominant 143-101 Game 3 win on Saturday that cut the Thunder’s series lead to 2-1.
“Just ultimate pressure on the ball—and shoot it as much as I can,” Edwards said.
Julius Randle bounced back with 24 points, and rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. chipped in 15 in 13 minutes off the bench as Minnesota cracked the league’s top-ranked defense after two rough losses on the road.
“Their force on that end was better than our physicality,” Thunder coach Mark Daigneault admitted.
MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggled, scoring just 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting with four turnovers before exiting down 38 late in the third. “They blitzed us early, and we never recovered,” he said.
The Thunder, red-hot in Games 1 and 2, shot just 12-of-40 in the first half. The crowd booed Gilgeous-Alexander on every touch, even chanting “Free throw merchant!” during his trips to the line.
Edwards, who had been cold from deep, went 5-of-8 from three and torched Oklahoma City’s pressure with hustle plays and highlight dunks. Randle reclaimed his rhythm with confident fadeaways. Minnesota, who had been outscored 69-37 in the third across Games 1 and 2, flipped the script this time—punctuated by Edwards’ dazzling reverse layup for a 79-52 lead.
