Free recycling event happening Saturday in Coweta

A free recycling event is being held Saturday at the Coweta Recycling Center, giving residents a chance to safely dispose of unwanted household items.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is hosted by The Met. Acceptable items include e-waste, batteries, cardboard, tires, and fire extinguishers. Organizers note that commercial items, appliances, and anything containing refrigerant will not be accepted.
