Tulsa Community College announced the first-ever mascot in the school's history Tuesday morning.

Students, employees and alumni cast their votes, choosing between three different options: the Goose, the Wolf or a sasquatch character.

After 2,000 total votes, the Goose came out victorious.

While the mascot doesn't have a name yet, TCC said there will be a naming campaign this fall for students and employees to give their input. The official debut will happen sometime after.

The college said it hopes that this addition will help strengthen student engagement and school spirit.

It also said the Goose will fit right in as it is a familiar sight across campus and the fact that geese are known to take turns leading the flock and moving forward together.
