Severe storms sweep through Green Country, more threats possible

Severe thunderstorms moved across Oklahoma on Tuesday morning, prompting multiple warnings throughout Green Country. A brief tornado warning was issued for Delaware County shortly after 8 a.m. but quickly expired.

Strong straight-line winds caused damage in several counties, and heavy rainfall led to a flood watch being issued for all of Green Country. Additional rounds of severe weather are expected from the afternoon into the evening hours.

Washington, Pushmataha, Choctaw, Osage, Washington, Nowata, Craig, Ottawa, Pawnee, Tulsa, Rogers, Mayes, Delaware, Creek, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Wagoner, Cherokee, Adair, Muskogee, McIntosh, Sequoyah, Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore counties.
