Reimagining Live Theater: Southern Plains Productions Discusses Upcoming "Rent" On The Porch

A local non profit production company is getting ready for its production of “RENT The Musical” this weekend.

News 9’s Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch met with Artistic Director Jackson Gifford and Director Cameron King to talk about Southern Plains Productions’ upcoming show.

“We seek to reimagine live theater and bring innovative artistic productions to our Oklahoma City community,” Gifford said. 

The musical will be held at the Oklahoma City public farmers market June 7-9.

“It's an iconic musical and we're so excited to bring you a fresh take on it. We're really hoping that audiences see it as though it was the first time,” Gifford said.
