1 Dead After Drowning In Carter County

One person is dead after drowning Monday afternoon in Lake Murray, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP said 28-year-old Jordan Gladfelter of Lone Grove was swimming in the lake at around 5:30 p.m. when he began to struggle in the water.

Gladfelter went under the water, OHP said, and could not be located.

Officials said they later found Gladfelter two hours later, nearly 200 feet away from the shore.
