A Perkins man has been arrested on allegations of throwing a pipe bomb at a Satanic Temple in Salem, Massachusetts.

According to the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, 49-year-old Sean Patrick Palmer faces allegations of committing the crime on April 8. No one was injured in the blast, but it caused a minor fire to the temple.

Investigators recovered a written note with the bomb, which suggested religious motivations behind the act.

Special Agents from the Oklahoma City FBI office arrested Palmer at his home without incident on Wednesday. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison.

His first appearance in Oklahoma City federal court is Thursday.
