Twister City Roller Derby Holding New Recruit Classes

News 9’s Jordan Ryan took the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to catch up with the Twister City Roller Derby team.

The Twister City Roller Derby team is encouraging the community to come to their games or join their team.

“It’s very high energy, which is a lot of fun to watch. I love it,” said Sass, who is on the roller derby team.

The team is having a new recruit class on May 6 at Star Skate in Midwest City at 7 p.m. Their first practice is the 19th. 

“If you don’t have any gear, we hook you up with that and then we teach you the basics,” Sass said.
