2 Teens In Custody After Reported Threat At University Of Tulsa Student Union

A pair of 19-year-olds are in custody on Friday, accused of multiple charges involving threats and firearms, Tulsa Police say.

Michael Johnson and Marshon Duckett are in police custody after a picture of Johnson threatening the ACSU and holding a firearm was sent to student union workers, police say.

Police located Johnson and Duckett in their home with two firearms, according to police. Both Johnson and Duckett were taken into police custody without incident, police say.

The ACSU on the University of Tulsa campus was evacuated for several hours before authorities gave the all-clear on Friday.

Johnson has been charged with threatening a violent act, a felony, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Duckett has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm after adjudication. Both are being held at D.L. Moss.

The student union was evacuated at the University of Tulsa on Friday following a possible threat, police confirmed.

Tulsa Police said the threat was made to the school by someone who is not on campus.

TU sent a text to students at 4:07 p.m. saying "ACSU is being evacuated. An emergency situation has been reported; authorities are investigating. Stay away from the area."

TU sent an update text at 4:48 p.m. saying "The situation is still ongoing at the Student Union. Continue to avoid the area."

TU sent an all-clear message at 7:53 p.m. They say in the message that the Student Union will reopen at 6:30 Saturday morning.

The ACSU is the Allan Chapman Student Union on the University of Tulsa.
