Bixby, Jenks Prepare For 6A-I State Championship Game

Rivals Bixby and Jenks will meet in the 6A-I state championship game on Friday at 7 pm at UCO in Edmond.

These two schools have combined to win 14 state titles in the last 11 years, but this will be the 1st ever meeting between the two in a state title game.

The Spartans have won five of the past six meetings, including 31-14 in week 10 of this season and 28-14 in last year's semifinals, but the Trojans lead the overall series 58-26-5. And Jenks has been the only team to hand Bixby a loss in their last 74 games.

Bixby head coach Loren Montgomery and Jenks head coach Keith Riggs met with the media on Monday to preview the state championship clash.
