Bodycam Footage Released In OKC Street Racing Sting

Body camera footage has been released from the night Oklahoma City Police arrested over 100 people.

Police say this started with complaints from nearby business owners in south Oklahoma City. They claimed people were constantly racing in parking lots near Southeast 89th Street and Pole Road.

The newly released footage shows police laying low at a nearby business, then jumping into action when hundreds of racers and bystanders showed up.

Dozens of cars were blocked into the parking lot. There were police surrounding the area. More than 100 people were arrested that night.

Oklahoma City Police say there was thousands of dollars in damage. All of the people arrested were taken into custody on trespassing complaints. At least 50 cars were impounded. They also seized one stolen car and multiple firearms.
