Tulsa Improves To 3-0 On The Season With A 72-52 Win Over Jackson State

Golden Hurricane wraps up a four-game homestand on Monday against South Carolina State at 7 pm.

TULSA, Okla. -

Eric Konkol and the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane improved to 3-0 on the young season after beating Jackson State 72-52 on Thursday night at the Reynolds Center.

The Golden Hurricane is now 8-0 all-time against the Tigers.

PJ Haggerty led the way for Tulsa with a game-high 20 points.

Tulsa is now 3-0 for the first time since the 2018-19 season.

Isaiah Barnes added 11 points and Cobe Williams 10 for the Hurricane, while Jarred Hall had nine, Jared Garcia and Tyshawn Archie eight points each for a balanced Hurricane scoring attack.

This was the first game of the 2023 Golden Turkey Slam. Tulsa will host South Carolina State in the second of its two games in the event on Monday. That game tips off at the Reynolds Center at 7 pm.
