Fire Crew Involved In Crash In SW Oklahoma City

A fire truck was involved in a crash with one other vehicle in southwest Oklahoma City on Friday morning.

The crash involving the fire truck and a black vehicle happened around 4 a.m. near SW 59th and Penn.

The driver of the black vehicle was arrested. Oklahoma City Fire Department say this person was a drunk driver.

There was extensive front end damage to the truck, as well as the black vehicle.

Initial reports indicate that the fire crew was responding to a call when the crash happened.

The fire chief who was in the fire truck at the time of the crash was sent to the hospital to be checked out, police said.
