They have been sisters for nearly a century. And they said they've never argued! Identical twins in Canadian County just celebrated their 96th birthday.
Mary Reuter and Martha Eoff had their birthday celebration on Saturday at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno surrounded by family.
"It made us feel real special," said Eoff.
"I might forget how old I am, but we'll still celebrate," Reuter added.
The twins, who wear matching outfits every day, were born and raised near Calumet.
"Mary tells them that she was born first. So she's the boss," Eoff joked.
"I don't remember!" Reuter laughed.
Both sisters went to Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and got married. When their husbands passed away, they lived together for two years before moving to St. Katharine early this year.
"I don't remember ever having an argument because I think we think exactly alike," Reuter said.
The twins credit their faith in God for their longevity.
"We grew up in a wonderful, Godly home," said Reuter, "Our daddy and mother just brought us up in the church."
They also live by the advice their father gave long ago.
"We did what he said and so we didn't smoke or drink," said Reuter. "Praise the Lord."
The sisters also praise each other for a lifetime of memories.
"I couldn't tell who was who," Eoff said of photos of their younger selves.
"She couldn't tell but I could. Cause I'm the prettiest!" Reuter joked.
Between the twins, the have seven children, 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
