A 14-year-old was arrested and is accused of making threats on social media to several Oklahoma schools.

In a statement, the district said administration was notified of a video on the social media platform TikTok threatening violence at the next home football game. The Grady County Sheriff's Office said the video reference Choctaw.

There were also threats of violence made towards the district for Monday, and several students were contacted, according to a statement released by Superintendent Kevin Sims.

The Minco School resource officer, who is a deputy sheriff with the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, was contacted.

“As superintendent [safety] is on my mind all the time,” Sims said..

It became front of mind for Sims less than 48 hours after the shooting at the Del City-Choctaw football game.

“I saw the actual video. It was alarming,” Sims said.

He was first alerted to the threatening video Sunday evening. He said the TikTok referenced other school shootings, and according to the Grady County Sheriff's Office, it also included the shooting Friday.

“There was a statement on there that this was going to be happening at our next football game,” Sims said. “I immediately contacted our school resource officer.”

The district just brought in an SRO this summer. The deputy investigated the threat, and a 14-year-old was arrested.

After a brief investigation, a 14-year-old suspect was arrested and is facing charges of domestic terrorism. The suspect also made threats towards students at Chickasha, according to the sheriff's office.

“It’s money well spent,” Sims said. “He jumped on the job pretty quick.”

The district said since the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, they have spend about $80,000 in security upgrades, but will continue talks with their new SRO about ways to make sure Friday nights are also safe.

Supt. Sims sent the following statement after the threats and arrest:

Dear Patrons,
On Sunday night, school administration was notified of a tik tok video that threatened violence at our next home high school football game. Some students were also contacted and threats of violence were made towards our schools for Monday. The Minco School Resource Officer who is a Grady County Deputy Sheriff was contacted immediately. After a brief investigation, the person of interest was taken into custody.
The administration takes the safety and security of our students very seriously. I would like to express my appreciation to Deputy Velarde and the Grady County Sheriff's department for their quick action. In the events of the last few days in our state, these types of threats will not be tolerated.
