Police have released the 911 call made by an off duty Edmond Police officer who allegedly shot and killed her brother last week.

The officer said the incident started with a fight over furniture.

“I just shot my brother… he’s shot in the chest. Oh god,” Edmond Police Lieutenant Jennifer Haddock said in the phone call.

At around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, the call came in from the Spring Creek Apartments located near East 15th and South Rankin streets where the officer's 36-year-old brother, Sean, lived with their mother.

According to the police report, their mother witnessed the incident, telling officers Sean aggressively approached Jennifer and pushed her against the wall.

Jennifer told investigators she then drew her gun telling him to back up. The documents said Sean grabbed it and told her to shoot him, and she fired a single round when he aggressively approached her again.

“I’m an off-duty police officer. I don't have an exit wound. I’ve got a plastic bag over his chest. He was shot with a 40 caliber pistol. He was shot in the upper right pectoral muscle,” Haddock said during the 911 call.

During the five-minute 911 call, Jennifer and her mother desperately worked to keep him alive until paramedics arrived.

“Get him on his side, get him on his side. Just let me know if anything changes in his condition. Yeah he’s really bad. I need someone here right now. Yes, they’re coming as quickly as they can okay,” Haddock said during the call.

Crews worked on him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Edmond Police said they believe there is enough evidence to bring a first-degree manslaughter charge, but the case has not yet gone before the district attorney.

Haddock is out on bond and is currently on administrative leave.
