Oklahoma Co. Deputies Issue Warning After Family Scammed When Trying To Buy Home

Oklahoma County deputies have a scam warning for anyone looking to buy a home.

The sheriff's office said a family was scammed out of thousands of dollars when they tried to buy a fake home on Facebook marketplace.

Once the family agreed to buy the home, they were asked to pay for it with gift cards.

Deputies said you should always ask to see the property in person before agreeing to buy it.
