USGS Report Two Additional Earthquakes Near Carney

The United States Geological Survey reported two additional earthquakes Friday morning approximately 2.5 southeast of Carney.

The first earthquake struck at around 8:36 a.m., and the second at around 9:44 a.m.

The two earthquakes, registering as a 3.5 magnitude and a 2.7 magnitude, make three earthquakes near Carney in the past two days.

The previous quake, previously registered as 4.2 magnitude, but later revised to 4.0, was reported in the same area.
