Norman Family Reunited WIth First Responders Who Rescued Them Following Recent Tornado Outbreak

A Norman family was reunited with the first responders who rescued them after Sunday's tornadoes.

Frances Tabler and her three children were trapped inside their home along with a broken meter releasing gas into the building.

Medics Meagan Tompkins and Dustin McCoy were able to evacuate the family without protective equipment, and even got their dog to safety as well.

"We were maybe... disoriented a little bit, and they guided us and just really made sure that we were led to safety," Tabler said. "We really appreciate that so much."

McCoy and Tompkins were presented with awards for heroism from the Norman Regional Health System.
