Edmond Police have released new details after a woman was found dead Wednesday after a standoff in Edmond.

Police said multiple individuals in Florida told police that their relative, Bernard Caldwell, 39, living in Edmond had allegedly killed his wife and posted the video to social media.

They also claimed that Caldwell planned to kill more people.

Officers responded to the scene Wednesday near Edmond Road and Santa Fe Avenue and were not able to make contact with anyone inside.

SWAT breached the front door with the ram on their rescue vehicle, and a bomb robot was sent in to clear the home and contact the people inside.

Officers were able to get Caldwell to come outside, and he surrendered to authorities at around 10:30 a.m.

Police said Demetria Jordan, 48, was located inside the home and pronounced dead.

Caldwell was booked on the complaints of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony.

The investigation is ongoing.
