A teenager who ran from authorities, stole a truck, and then ran into a home in southeast Oklahoma City was taken into custody Thursday night, deputies said.

Authorities told News 9 the incident started when the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office made contact with a teen, who ran into a wooded area.

That's when the teenager allegedly stole a truck and fled the scene.

Deputies followed the teen, who ran into a home near Southeast 44th Street and South Westminster Road.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office indicated that it didn’t appear that the teen knew the family of the home he ran into.

Deputies said 10 or more people were inside that home at the time of the incident.

The teenager was taken into custody peacefully, deputies said.
