Senate To Vote On Defense Bill This Week

Senators are set to make their final vote on the 2023 Defense Authorization Act. The bill, authored by retiring Oklahoma Republican Senator Jim Inhofe, marks significant gains for the armed services.

If approved, the bill would not only get rid of the Pentagon's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, but would also give active service members a 4.6% pay raise.

The act should hit the Senate floor sometime this week, and is expected to pass.
