The Tulsa Health Department and the "Be Well Committee" helped families get ready for school with a "Back-to-School Bucket List Event."

The free event at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center, included free childhood immunizations and COVID-19 vaccines, sports physicals, food, giveaways and more.

"We know that parents and families have a lot of items on their bucket list to finish before summer is over, and we wanted to make sure that receiving the back-to-school immunizations and getting school supplies are on that bucket list," said Ellen Niemitalo, THD Manager of Immunizations.

Kids who attended the event also got the chance to learn how to make healthy snacks.
