Unemployment Claims Ramp Up Across The Nation

Unemployment claims have risen for three straight weeks, but the number of people receiving benefits is at its lowest level in over half a century.

The Department of Labor says 1.3 million unemployment claims were paid during the first week of May, the fewest since December of 1969.
