A woman on a walk is attacked by three dogs. It happened about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Enid and landed the dogs' owner with a fine.

Alan Kennedy told News 9 his daughter regularly goes on walks. This time, when police called, he knew that something went terribly wrong.

“I sure do miss her, you know? It’s hard being here alone. I’m used to having her around,” said Kennedy.

Dispatch: "911..."

Caller: "Yes, we are having a little bit of trouble out here. We have a bunch of dogs harassing this little girl down here. They are kind of scaring her."

His daughter Myra Uselton was on a walk Tuesday afternoon when suddenly, she was attacked.

Caller: "The dog is attacking somebody. Hurry up!"

“My daughter has always been real good with animals. She loves them and they love her, so I was so surprised when some dogs attacked her,” said Kennedy.

Police said three large, aggressive dogs attacked her a block away from home on East Randolph.

“They had knocked her down and all three were attacking her at once,” said Cass Rains, the Enid police spokesperson.

The police report stated she suffered “major damage” to her arms and abdomen.

“She was crying when I first walked up. When she saw me, I told her I was here and she stopped crying. She was pretty banged up,” said Kennedy.

The injuries were so severe, she was taken to OU Health via a medical helicopter.

“Her shirt was torn and kind of ragged. There was quite a bit of blood around. The EMT people were dressing her wounds and everything. When I got up to the hospital and they were ready to take her into surgery and the doctor took off the bandages and it was pretty sickening,” he said.

With more surgery ahead, Kennedy said they are taking things day by day.

“We spoke with the owner at the scene, and he surrendered the three dogs to us that were involved in the attack. They spoke with him and found that he had two other dogs that were not involved in the attack but not licensed properly,” said Rains.

He said the three dogs were euthanized and checked for rabies. Their owner didn’t have proof of vaccinations for the dogs. Their investigation is ongoing.
