The Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) said a suspected shoplifter at an OKC Walmart fired "three to four" times while fleeing the scene on Saturday night.
Police said a security guard tried to apprehend the suspect at the Belle Isle Walmart when the suspect opened fire and fled the scene.
Authorities said no one was shot, but one person was injured while trying to run away.
The security guard was identified as an off-duty Jones police officer.
One person is in custody.
