The Potawatomi Nation will join the Creek Nation, Cherokee Nation and Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribe in requiring Nation employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a letter to employees, the Nation said, "These shots have been administered 441,000,000 times since March of '20. FOUR HUNDREND AND FORTY ONE MILLION! Yet, we still have people saying they are 'untested', 'not safe'. or a 'hoax'. Nonsense."

Employees in Health and Medicine will be required to be vaccinated by December 4 or face termination.

All other employees must be vaccinated by December 31, 2021, without exception.

The Nation goes on to say, "The Citizen Potawatomi Nation no longer chooses to allow unvaccinated employees to touch and breathe on our children in the Daycare, prepare food and serve it to our elders, or cough and sneeze infected mucus and snot at work. American Indians are statistically the most likely people to die of Covid in the United States ... Devoting a team of valuable health workers to examine the testing of 587 unvaccinated employees is a waste of time and money."
