1 Man Dead After Car Drives Off Bridge In Choctaw County, OHP Says

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one Norman man died and one OKC woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition after an early-morning crash in Choctaw County on Sunday.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one Norman man died and one OKC woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition after an early-morning crash in Choctaw County on Sunday.

Troopers say that 53-year-old Michael Pavlu was driving southbound on US-271 around 4:30 a.m. when his vehicle went over the side of a bridge rail and fell approximately 125 feet into a dry portion of the Red River.

Pavlu was ejected approximately 10 feet from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene while the 37-year-old passenger, Rebecca Reynolds, was taken to a Texas hospital in stable condition.

The crash occurred approximately 4.5 miles south of Grant, Oklahoma.
