Officials Capture Man Who Escaped Jail After Stealing Employee's Car

An inmate who escaped from the Oklahoma County Detention Center on Wednesday is now in custody, officials said.

Officials said the Nicoma Park Police Department arrested Nicolas Leach without incident Friday around 7 p.m.

ODOC officials said on Wednesday, Leach escaped after grabbing a gate opener and a set of keys from an employee.

Leach just pleaded guilty to several charges including 2nd degree burglary and false declaration to a pawnshop, he was booked into the jail back in May. 

He was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison and waiting to be transferred to Department of Corrections' custody.
