The Oklahoma County sheriff's office is looking for a 17-year-old murder suspect.

Investigators said the teen is considered armed and dangerous.

Police said this began as an arson investigation and quickly changed when deputies found badly-charred remains inside. Now, they've initiated a manhunt for Robert Stockton Jr.

"We do consider him armed and dangerous. Do not approach this guy," said Aaron Brilbeck, Oklahoma County sheriff's office spokesman.

Oklahoma County sheriff's office got a tip about a possible arson in Harrah.

They began looking into the fire Tuesday night and by Wednesday morning, police found the remains.

The body was in such bad condition, investigators didn't know if it was human.

"The medical examiner's office did confirm for us those are human remains. The remains had been burned," Brilbeck said.

The investigation led police to Stockton as a suspect.

Deputies ask everyone to be on the lookout for Stockton's car. It's a Black Nissan frontier. The plate number is AJX598.

Those close to him told investigators he's known to carry a gun on him as well.

The teen's mother, Maryann Cannon, is already in custody in connection with the alleged murder. Police haven't given the victim's name or how they died.

"The body was pretty badly burnt, and we have to do a positive identification. We believe we know who it is," Brilbeck said.

There is still a lot of information being put together by deputies like why the remains weren't found by firefighters, or when the fire happened.

If you have seen Stockton or know his whereabouts, call the Oklahoma County sheriff's office at 405-869-2501.
