Maysville School District Releases Statement On Teacher’s Aide Accused Of Having A Relationship With Student

A Maysville teacher's aide accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student is out of a job.

A Maysville teacher's aide accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student is out of a job.

In a statement Monday the school district in Garvin County said it's shocked and disappointed by the allegations against 24-year-old Morgan Moore.

According to Maysville Police Chief Paul Bush, Moore told a co-worker about her relationship with a male student.

The co-worker notified authorities.

Bush said when questioned, Moore confessed.

She was arrested and booked on a complaint of first-degree rape.

The following statement was sent by the district Monday, Sept. 27:

The Maysville School District takes the safety of its students very seriously. Because of this the District was shocked and disappointed when it heard the allegations against one of its employees. The District immediately contacted law enforcement regarding these allegations and continues to cooperate with law enforcement on this matter. This individual is no longer employed by the District. The District will not comment further since this is a confidential personnel matter.
