TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa police say a man is dead after he was shot several times inside his home overnight near Pine and Lewis. Police are still looking for the individual responsible on Friday morning.

Police say officers found a man lying inside his doorway with several gunshot wounds just past 11 p.m. Thursday night. TPD says nobody else was inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Police told News On 6 they immediately tried to revive him and get EMSA on scene, but the victim died. Police have not identified that victim.

Officers say they did take one person in for questioning but say that person is not a person of interest.

Right now, police say they do not have a suspect named but they are reviewing evidence and will continue to investigate this homicide until they catch the individual responsible.

Tulsa police are asking anyone who may have any information to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Investigators say you can remain anonymous on that call.
