The battle against COVID-19 continues for a high school varsity football player.
Levi Barnett, 16, was hospitalized Tuesday at OU Children’s Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 last Saturday.

During Friday night’s football game against Highland, Barnett’s teammates took a moment to pay respects.
Members of the team ran out on the field with Barnett’s jersey in hand.
Barnett’s mother told News 9 Levi is now heavily sedated. He was placed on a ventilator Friday night.
“One day he’s good and then one day we have a backlash,” Barnett told News 9 Wednesday. “I mean it (is) just one day at a time. It could be weeks. It could be months.”
Levi’s parents have been alternating every two days in the hospital but have not gotten a hotel in the metro.
The family is accepting donations via CashApp for anyone who would like to help the family.
Donations can be made to $FrankieHeather.
