A sunny and hot day today with highs in the 90s and low 100s. There is a cold front sweeping through the Plains. It arrives in Oklahoma this afternoon and will bring a chance for t-storms across the northwest.
The front rolls into the OKC Metro around midnight. Rain chances highest in the northwest as scattered storms develop. Initially these storms may be strong to severe with hail and damaging winds the main threats.
As storms move south they will weaken. Not everyone sees rain today, but those that do, will see the potential for flash flooding. These storms will have high rainfall rates, and will move slowly.
Overnight as the front moves south, temperatures will fall into the 50s up north.
