The Oklahoma National Guard left Wednesday morning from Mustang to head over to Louisiana.

About 200 members said they wanted to come to help after Hurricane Ida. In other words, no mandatory orders were given for guardsmen.

The governor’s office said it has authorized more if they are needed for relief efforts in Louisiana.
