Tuesday is the first day for students to move in at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

Students can start moving in at 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday.

They'll check in at the Lloyd Noble Center and then be sent to the residence halls.

This year, the university is strongly encouraging all students, especially those in student housing, to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

As part of the move-in plan, OU Health will host a walk in COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Couch Center Storm Shelter.

The clinic will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. Thursday.

OU President Joseph Harroz said while vaccines are not mandatory for everyone, there are situations where they will be required.

On campus classes will be held in-person and will begin on Aug. 23.

Gaylord Memorial Stadium will also return to full capacity for Sooner football games.

The university is encouraging face masks indoors, but they are required on public transportation and in-patient care facilities.

Move-in will continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
