Investigators are looking for a woman who recently had brain surgery. The last time Dawn Sherrill was seen was Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Officials said they are fighting the clock as days pass.
“We’ve been out running back roads. She got diagnosed with brain cancer, she had surgery and she just hasn’t been herself,” said Caddo County Sheriff Spencer Davis.
Sherrill was recovering from brain surgery when she went missing. Law enforcement said she may be disoriented.
According to the sheriff, she was under physical and medical disability. They issued a Silver Alert for the 55-year-old Thursday, nearly 24 hours since anyone last saw her.
“The family is very concerned, we're concerned, we have deputies driving the areas out southwest of Anadarko,” said Davis.
He said she works at the vet clinic in town and was last seen wearing tan capri pants, grey shoes and with a grey scrub top that said, ‘Anadarko Vet.’
“The way I understand it she just left. I’m not sure she was at home, but I believe that’s where she was,” said Davis.
Her residence is on the outskirts of town near County Road 1377. The sheriff said she may have left in a red 2007 Ford truck, and she could be anywhere.
“The county roads, the back roads, the oil field sites just anywhere we could think of. She might not even be in that area anymore,” he said.
Caddo County Sheriff’s Office has gotten several tips, none of them leading to Sherrill. They said she is in imminent danger.
“Were just hoping for the best. That we can locate her, and she is Ok when we do, we are hoping for that and praying for it,” he said.
Anyone who has seen her should contact their local law enforcement or the Caddo County Sheriff’s Office.
