Name Removed From Chesapeake Energy Arena

There were major changes at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown Oklahoma City Thursday.

The managing company told News 9 Chesapeake’s naming rights have expired. The Chesapeake letters were removed from the building.

The Oklahoma City Thunder said the building will retain its name until further notice.

Crews said the rebranding could take place next week.
