Oklahoma City firefighters say one person is dead after an overnight house fire.

Crews were called to a home near NW 23rd St. and North MacArthur Blvd just after midnight.

"While en route, dispatch gave us the information that there was possibly a victim or a resident inside of the home that was still trapped inside," said OKC Fire Battalion Chief Catch Hayes.

Firefighters found one person dead inside the home but have not yet identified the victim.

Crews said the home did not seem to have any working smoke detectors. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
