2 Dead Following Boat Crash At Lake Texoma

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said two men were killed and another man was injured after a boat crashed along Lake Texoma.

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. between Wood Island and Sanders Island View.

Authorities said the steering on the boat malfunctioned which caused the vessel to make a sharp left turn, causing the three men's ejection from the boat.

The boat then began circling the three men, striking all of them.

OHP said the passengers, identified as 80-year-old Dee Hines and 62-year-old Eddie Hines, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the boat was rescued by witnesses in another boat, transported to a local hospital and later released.
