The doors of the Tulsa City-County Library are open to families. The staff said there are all kinds of free fun, games and events for your kids.

COVID-19 has changed many aspects of our lives, but the Tulsa City-County Library is making sure that, as things start to return to normal, they are still a safe place and a community hub for everyone.

"It makes us so happy to hear children's laughter to hear children running around and having fun at the library," said Tatiana Godinez with Tulsa-City County Library. "It is a community living room; anyone can come to the library and find their own place."

There are still online events like children's performers and story times but there are also some in-person, outdoor events as well.

"The families can come and choose their own books to read, they can have fun with it," said Godinez.

Kids also have the opportunity to sign up for the Summer Reading Program.

"They can read books; they can win prizes and just have fun. The Summer Reading Program is for all ages, from babies to adults, so the whole family can come to the library and sign up," said Godinez.

While they are at the library, they can also pick up a craft kit.

"They can come and choose a craft to do at home and it comes with supplies and instructions - it is all free," said Godinez.

The staff is thrilled to welcome families back into the library, step by step.

"We cannot wait until we can go back to live programs which I hope will happen very soon," said Godinez.
