OHP: Tonkawa Man Dies In Kay County Collision

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol have determined the cause of a fatal collision Friday afternoon in Kay County.

Authorities said the driver of a Dodge truck was traveling southbound on 13th Street, just south of Blackwell. The driver failed to yield from a stop sign and collided with a Ford F-250 traveling eastbound on Hubbard Road.

The driver of the Dodge truck was ejected, pinned under his vehicle and was transported to a Tulsa hospital. Medical staff pronounced the man dead after an undetermined amount of time.

The driver of the Ford F-250 was transported to a Stillwater hospital before he was treated and released for his injuries.

Both men have not yet identified, but authorities are investigating their conditions at the time of the collision.
