A man was arrested after a woman dragged by a vehicle in northeast Oklahoma City, police said.
Daryl Ray Holland, 27, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday near NE 53rd and Everest Avenue.
The incident started Tuesday morning near Martin Luther King Avenue and Remington Drive.
A woman was trying to get out of a vehicle at a fast food restaurant in the area and was dragged from there to a neighborhood in the area of NE 52nd Street and Terry Avenue, police said.
Witnesses said the woman and a man were having a fight inside a vehicle when she tried to get out of the vehicle. The man started driving the vehicle and she was caught by the car.
Investigators think she was dragged at least a half a mile in the area.
The woman was found nearby in a neighborhood and taken to a local hospital, police said.
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Kendra Hunt. She was seriously injured but is expected to survive, police said.
Police shut down Martin Luther King Avenue between NE 63rd and NE 50th streets as a result of the investigation.
