Thousands Of OG&E Customers Affected By Power Outage In Metro

The City of Edmond says a massive power outage in the area appears to be due to a transmission problem.

Thousands of OG&E customers have been affected in north Edmond.

City officials said they are actively working to restore power. An estimated time for completion was unknown.    

Several customers in Guthrie have also been impacted. Guthrie officials said transmission lines and poles are down near Guthrie Lake.

As of 10 p.m. nearly 10,000 OG&E customers were without power.
