Solo's Park and Pub will open as Oklahoma City's first restaurant and dog park. They will have an acre for dogs to run around off the leash while you can enjoy your day.

This is the first place, like its kind. It's a new way to experience the northwest part of Oklahoma City with your dog.

It is located in Chisholm Creek near Highland Park and Pawnee.

It's an industrial building which holds a bar and restaurant for a chance to use this space all year round.

As for the outdoor area, it's an acre of off-leash terrain to let your dog run.

This week, a portion of the profits will be donated to Country Roads Animal Rescue.

For this new business, owner Julianne Thomas said she saw the need for new experiences in Oklahoma City and thought, why not add a man's best friend into the mix.

"We've done our research. There are some in Florida. They are all over the place. We were like, 'that is a great idea, and Oklahoma needs something like that,'" Thomas said.

A ribbon cutting begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday and pups will be helping with this grand opening.
