Interstate Drive is usually known for its mile of cars but right now it’s a mile of damage.

It doesn't matter where you look in the Reynold's Ford parking lot, you'll come across some damage from Wednesday’s hail storm.

“It was unbelievable how many vehicles, we had windshields knocked out, side windows knocked out back windows knocked out…This is not little hail but it's some big hail some heavy hail,” Dale Daniels with Reynolds Ford said.

Daniels is the owner of Reynold's Ford Dealership. He said they found hail larger than baseball throughout their lot. Every vehicle that was outside was hit, which is a couple hundred cars.

“I've been doing this for a lot of years, over 50 years and it's one of the worst deals that we've experienced. There's maybe one other, one or two other ones that I can think of that was close to this kind of damage,” Daniels said.

On top of having a huge cleanup, the auto industry is experiencing a chip shortage causing dealerships to have low inventory.

“A year ago, we had about three times as many cars and trucks as we have today, so it could've been worse,” Daniels said.

Daniels said on the bright side no one was hurt, and they plan to replace the glass in the cars and sell them at a discounted rate. He said their insurance company came by to assess the damage.

He believes there's about $10 million worth of inventory damaged.
