OKCFD Responds To Fire Inside Oklahoma County Detention Center

A small fire broke out at the Oklahoma County Detention Center late on Sunday night.

According to Oklahoma City firefighters, crews began receiving calls about smoke coming from the ground floor of the jail reaching as high as the third or fourth floor around midnight.

Fire officials believe the fire was caused by a fan motor from an air conditioning unit.

No inmates were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
