If you are up for the challenge for eight weeks, the Oklahoma City-County Health Department will help you become a better version of yourself and a summer body ready all for free.

“We meet one hour a week for eight weeks. Talk about nutrition, talk about physical activity, talk about losing weight and feeling good,” said Jennifer Like with OCCHD's Total Wellness Program.

This class meets virtually every week, helping you be active, make healthier choices, lose weight, and provides screenings.

If you are hesitant to sign up and be committed for eight weeks, it’s the success stories that might change your mind.

“When I went to start this program, I weighed 297 pounds. I was the heaviest guy in the room,” said Mark Maehs, one of the success stories from this program.

For Maehs, he has lost 90 pounds and his wife, Deborah, lost 53 pounds.

"This is a lifestyle change," said Maehs.

They said this program saved their lives, one change at a time.

This program starts Saturday, but they also have classes weekly during the day and evenings.

Email totalwellness@occhd.org to sign up for the free classes or call 405-425-4352.
